In a nation full of trouble, only WE can save us now
Only WE Can Save Us Now is a response to police killings of George Floyd and Breonna Taylor in the USA which have been triggers activating the people most impacted by already existing deeply rooted systemic issues in American society that rob us of our humanity – ALL of us. The street protests that followed, both peaceful and violent, are testimony to these problems that have still not been resolved after so many generations of struggle. The song was co-written with two other American songwriters based in Nashville TN, and we believe the song speaks for itself. The video was directed and edited by Oakland-based filmmaker Barry Stone, with significant contributions from award-winning documentary filmmaker David L. Brown.
